We’re doing this differently

On Thursday 16th April 2026, Counter Interiors is hosting a networking evening at our York showroom – and we’ve designed it to be worth leaving the office for. 

What Actually Happens 

Welcome & Counter Interiors Presentation 

We’ll talk about what we do – designing kitchens that balance premium aesthetics with practical functionality. 

Luke will walk you through our approach. Luke’s background is hands-on fitting before a back injury led to opening the showroom in 2013. Becky brought the organisational skills that transformed it into York’s largest independent kitchen showroom – 3,200 square feet of design expertise. 

Live Culinary Cooking by Chef Ann Reynolds 

Ann Reynolds is a professionally trained chef who’s worked with leading cookery schools. She knows her stuff – classical training meets practical application. She’ll be cooking up canapes throughout the evening.

Hooting Owl Distillery Chat & Tasting 

Hooting Owl will talk about their craft spirits whilst you try them. They’ve won 10+ Great Taste Awards for their gins, rums, and vodkas – all made in small batches (28 bottles at a time) within York’s historic city walls. 

Proper stuff, not mass-produced alternatives. They’ll explain what makes small-batch distilling different, and you’ll taste why quality ingredients and attention to detail matter. 

Networking 

This is the main bit. Connect with business professionals from across Yorkshire over drinks and food. 

The network brings together people from property development, construction, corporate services, finance, home improvement and many more – professionals who understand what it’s like to run a business. You’re not pitching to a room of strangers. You’re building relationships with people who might become suppliers, collaborators, referral partners, or clients. 

Drinks and food available throughout the entire evening (6pm – 9pm).

Her demonstrations make professional techniques accessible – you learn things that work in real kitchens, not just impressive-looking methods that require commercial equipment.
